Have we arrived to the drop that spill the glass? or not yet?? Still can believe the things that are coming out of this new illegitimate government in Venezuela. First they refuse to do a recount of the votes, then they refused to do it in a transparent manner, and now they are attacking physically the  the few government representatives from the opposition that remain in the system, the ones that has not yet been completely swept by the ruling party.

Today is a sad day for the people of Venezuela, as have most of the days in the last two weeks.

The insistence of a government that is sinking faster than ever, to stay through violence, repression and retaliation against those who think differently, it is increasingly evident. Yesterday was a classic example of true fascism that exists in Venezuela, and irrefutable proof of who are the ones that actually support this type of behaviour.

I'm not a political analyst, to try to understand the reason behind these actions, executed by Diosdado Cabello, and his henchmen, who laughing at the entire ordeal, deliberately attacked the opposition legislators who asked to participate in a session of Parliament.

I just want to express the suffering that exists in Venezuela, to such injustices, and the feeling of helplessness you feel, as a Venezuelan, that want out of this government. The Venezuelans want to work in peace, in order to support their families, educate their children and build a future. What kind of future can there be, when the country is kidnapped? The economic system is in pieces, because the industry has been dismantled by the very calls "expropriation". Major companies in the country, decided to close its doors for lack of raw materials to make their basic products as flour, oil, sugar and rice. What kind of future can a mother give to her children?

Much of today Venezuelans trust their leaders, who try to keep to a minimum the citizen confrontation through peaceful demonstrations, precisely to avoid violent clashes, as the one from yesterday. But what happens when there are not only a few "simple" blows, and the government really murders our representatives? and then said it was self defence? Who will defend us?

The people must defend themselves, We know that the energies are difficult to maintain when the day by day is increasingly difficult under the crisis, however for these exact same reasons, the peaceful fight  must continue, in seeking the support of everyone who is against fascist positions, every Venezuelan has to put his two cents in continuing this marathon, and not rest until justice is done in Venezuela.

Venezuelans citizens in Rome

Today in a beautiful manner, we were able to express our discontent by our current political situation, citizens in Rome, gather on the Piazza dei Cinquecento.

 We distributed our message to those who wanted to hear it...we found curious people, tourist and Italian citizen, and even Latin Americans brothers whom we explain why we were there, the importance for us to spread the word.

Always peacefully, with smiles, laughs, songs and our casseroles we manifest.

Our slogans were peace to Venezuela, unification of Venezuelans, clear and transparent counting of the votes, and exit of illegitimate president Maduro, proclaimed, after an audit was accepted to the rest of the 46% of the voting records. Why they couldn't wait after the audit was finish?

Also wanted to show our feelings against the attacks on workers, parliamentarians and citizens who are being persecuted for voting for Henrique Capriles. In recent days there have been more evidence of public companies where unions and public offices are threatening employees for voting for the anti-government option, and without impudence manifested, they do not care for the Minister of Labour and Human Rights, they do so with the conviction to maintain a legacy, which unfortunately, they don't realised yet is of hate, resentment, manipulation and lies.

We repudiate also inconsistencies on the electoral system, that is supposedly the most perfect in the world, according to government spokesmen, where one of them another complaint is that of assisted voting, which outrages me greatly because it represents the rape of democracy! The vote is secret and should be guaranteed to be secret, a person can not be forced to vote for another if his conscience doesn't dictates it, and this kind of abuse are the ones that we as Venezuelans must denounce. Especially those of us who are on foreign countries.

And to this point I want to emphasise that despite the large turnout today, and how satisfied we were with the concentration, we know of a large number of fellow Venezuelans in Rome, wouldn't show up precisely for fear of reprisals. A message to my friends, we can not give up, can not give way to tyranny, we can not let them continue calling us fascists when are others who have demonstrated to be the fascists. Faith, hope and without fear, God is with us, but he does not do our work, the work must be done by us.

I would like to close this post with some words of Pope Francis I, who during the day Angelus today, prayed for Venezuela:
"I accompany Venezuela with concern, intense prayer and hope, so that they find fair and peaceful ways to overcome the moment of grave difficulty. I invite my dear Venezuelans, particularly the authorities, to strongly reject violence and establish a dialogue based on truth, mutual recognition and the search for the common good to the nation. I ask believers to work towards reconciliation and peace, let us join in a prayer for Venezuela, placing it in the hands of our the Virgin Mary of Coromoto "

A new beginning

I'm starting this blog to share with the world the recent events surrounding the presidential elections of my beloved country Venezuela. Currently I don't live there anymore, and my heart aches every time I see pictures and videos of violence being committed against my fellow citizens. 

The international community is not aware of what is happening, and everything is worse when you see this so called communist in others countries, following a doctrine that has been the worse for Venezuela in the last 14 years, and they don't even lived there, don't even know the real horror, the real lives of normal, common Venezuelans. They support the government actions and validate this outrageous behavior. 

Well me and my fellow Venezuelan citizens are tired of this, and I want people to know the real Venezuela, the one that has suffered from verbal, physical and psychological attacks in 14 years. Now is the time, we can't take anymore, and we want our voice heard! Specially now that we are being directly accused of violent acts, when all we ever ask was for a recount of the votes, never asked for violence, and in our concentrations reigns the feeling of happiness, hope and willingness for a better future for a country. 

I will be posting information found through out the world, specially that from Italy, the country I find myself in, to the world to see. If anybody has information can contact me and I will put it out there. I'm no reporter, no public worker, no lawyer, nothing to do with politics, I'm just doing something my heart is asking me to do, moving forward just with faith and hope that this soon will be over.

Late night of April 14th 2013

On election day Nicolás Maduro was announced as the winner for the presidential elections of Venezuela, he, who was assign by finger by Chavez himself as his successor, December 8th 2012. After this Vicente Díaz, the rector of the Electoral Council of Venezuela, specifically ask to open the boxes with the votes to make a 100% recount because the wining margin was so small and he believed that for there to be an acceptance and peace of mind on both sides, the government and the opposition and the country needed this.

On the same night, our leader, whom I consider my real president, Henrique Capriles Radonsky, gave statements signalling inconsistencies with the process, more than 3000 irregularities, than can make the process tainted and therefore not accepting the election results and asked the authorities for a recount of the vote, according to what had already said Vicente Díaz.

After less than 24 hours of announcing the results, and Maduro's saying to go on with the audit of the votes, the Electoral Council of Venezuela (CNE) took haste in denying our right to have the recount and move ahead with a overly rush proclamation of Nicolás Maduro as President. Less than 24 hours when there where still votes to be counted, specially those from foreign countries, including MY vote, when the people was waiting for a recount, but the answer was NO, they kept repeating like crazy people, our system is the best in the world, the paper the voting machine gives you doesn't matter, it's just a receipt, like saying is not your vote just some paper, but still you can take it home nor take a picture of it because is against the law.

Maduro proceed to give a very negative, divisional and violent speech against the opposition and Henrique Capriles, claiming the same conspiracy theories that we have been listening to for 14 years about the United States and other countries, that want to take our country for them, ironically Monday was the same day when in Boston a tragic act of terrorism took place during the marathon, so I ask myself is really Venezuelan government that egocentric, that couldn't see that the United States were concern with their own problems?

Next Capriles asked the people to participate in a form of protest called "Cacerolazo" it consist on clapping a pot against a spoon to make noise. This has been a commonly know way of protest on my country through out the years and is one of the most pacifist way of sharing your discontent. This happened on Monday night at 8 o'clock and the sound could be heard in all the country.

More than 7 million people in Venezuela are being unheard by its government. The discontent is growing. Conformism is over. Now is the time for a new Venezuela.

Against those who opposed you...

This sound of a talk given by Leonet Cabeza the Principal of the Secretary of Sport of Zulia, state of Venezuela, by the sound you can clearly hear how upset he is. 

It begins congratulating those who voted for Maduro and talking how They had orders to vote for Maduro, orders that came from Arias Cardenas, governor of Zulia State. 

Basically he knows who voted for Capriles, and those people are going to fired. "Los vamos a votar, no importa si van al ministerio del trabajo o al tribunal, pero los vamos a votar, porque esto no lo vamos a permitir" "We're going to fired you, I don't care if you'll go to court or the ministry you're going to get fired, because we're not going to allow this"

Now I say, they had orders from the government to vote for Maduro, and now those who voted against are being fired, amidst this economic crisis, specially the one we're are going through. This isn't democracy. This is dictatorship!! And this is not the first time this happens, many, many, thousands of Venezuelan citizen have been prosecuted with the same ideology, and have been fired from their jobs, one of the many reasons why many are now living abroad,starting from scratch which is not an easy task, because in Venezuela they can't find jobs on the public administration, and the government has make sure to diminish the private sector, so the jobs there are few. 

This and many more happens in Venezuela, where the abuse of power if great, and people is repressed just by expressing a different opinion. But not we are not few anymore, we are more than 7million voices that want and end to this, want this to stop, so now more than ever we need the international community help. 

We make a call to the world saying: SOS Venezuela needs help!

I just found this information. This time is a video, of another syndicate, this time from the Steel Industry of Guayana, where secretary José Rodríguez is asking for something called the Tascon's List, this was many years ago a list of people to be know opposite to the government, which was used unfortunately to discriminate and intimidate, and now they are asking for a remake, to update it with new people. 

Well I just say to them...If you want to do it...do it...we are tired of this intimidation, we are also Venezuelans and we deserved to ask for a better country and a better future, so we won't stop. 

We have embarque in this ship with Henrique Capriles as our Capitan, and we are pacifist, and we want our voice to be heard, and we already have the international support, so you can make as many list as you want, it won't matter.  

This is a video where Minister Ricardo Molina, where he says he accept nobody from the opposition, and is threatening the workers that side with the opposition.  And the saddest thing is, the people who support him..this makes me think sometimes..maybe we deserved what is happening to us..but then again it's not fair that half the country pays for the other half, we need to reconciled, and we need a leader that is able to do that.

This are the weapons of a pacific people

To quote the title of an article from "El Universal" a news paper from Venezuela, I think this title embodies the first days of this week for the Venezuelan people, after rightfully so, contender Henrique Capriles Radonsky asked to do the recount of the votes, because on presidential election days, there were more than 3000 irregularities during the process that tainted the entire elections. 

He ask the venezuelan people to step out and show their discontent, to manifest our need for justice and clarity on a process that from the very beginning was dominated by the power of the government, the abuse of the state communicational resources, and even so in the hour of truth the government contender manage to lose more than 700.000 voters, in just 10 days of campaign.

But when Henrique Capriles ask the people to manifest their discontent he ask to do so peacefully, to take our pots and clap them, so hard to world to hear and then...the violence came. 

People were attack and repressed  by factions supporting the government and even by the military, this took the lives of 7 people, and many were hurt, houses that belongs to a political party were under attack on different cities of the country, offices of newspapers and even member of our parliament were attack, because they wouldn't recognized the new government, that it's not freedom of speech, a democracy warranty, what else can we think when this level of repression are found on a country??...This was supposed to be a pacifist movement, and others tainted it with blood, and try to blame us and made us see as violent people.

It's a disgrace for a country to see their own military attacking its people when they don't have anything to defend themselves. I feel for my country, and my condolences to the families of the deceased. It really it's a hard time for us, but we still persevered, we went home, but we're still being heard, everyday at 8.00 o'clock the sound of our pots resound in Venezuela.

And today will be the biggest yet...we need to show how the illegitimate President is not wanted!! Today it's the best day of all, a day that for us marked the beginning of our Independence from the Spanish rule on 1810, and now it's to marked our Independence from forces working against everything our country stand for, forces that want to take what it's from Venezuela for them, forces that already have made Venezuela suffer for 14 years. Now more than ever we need to be heard, and our pacific fight shall continue until we're freed from Nicolas The Brief, The Illegitimate.
